How do I make fields required at certain steps in a process?
In order to make a change to a process, you will need to access the Setup Lander.

Making fields Required
- Click on the Settings icon on a field
- To make a field required Always, Set "When should this be required" to be "Always"
To make a field required only at a certain step in the process or based on a specific rule, Set "When should this be required" to "Custom" and click on "Edit Rule"
Custom Settings using Instance variables
You can set custom rules on each field based on when that field should be required, simply by adding the custom criteria rules using the rule builder (As shown above).
You can set rules using the instance fields on the form such as, for e.g. Current Task Step Equals to Step 2 (As shown above). Which means this field will only required when the current task is in step 2.
You can set rules based on a field's data captured on the form for e.g For an expense claim process, set the Date field to be required only if "Has employee been paid?" field is equal to Yes (As shown below)
(N.B This will be unique to each process you create)

Click on Add Condition to add a additional ruling following the same steps as above
Click on Done once you have set your custom rule
